Thank you to the Canadian Mental Health Association - Inuvik Branch

On Wednesday January 23, the youth centre received a phone call from Doug Robertson, director of the Inuvik Branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association. He called with fantastic news: After the sale of their building, the CMHA had some money left over that they were donating to a few organizations around Inuvik and the youth centre had been selected. They were donating $25,000 for anti-bullying and self-esteem development programming.

The Inuvik Youth Centre is overwhelmed with gratitude for this extremely generous donation. While we don't know exactly what we're going to spend this money on, we know it will be exciting and useful for the youth of Inuvik. We'll keep you updated about what our plans will eventually be!

Thanks again to the CMHA board of directors for thinking of the Inuvik Youth Centre and recognizing the work that we do.
